Back to Work...

Well the holidays have been and gone.
We managed to get up to Newcastle for a few days to see the family, and ended up staying longer than expected due to the rather inclement weather conditions.
New Year was spent with Rich and Rach in Newbury. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it until midnight, and was safely tucked up by 10:30pm. This baby growing is really tiring!
So, it was back to the grind stone today. Admittedly, I got the soft option, as I had an antenatal appointment and was working at home.
The exciting news is that I heard Baby Davey’s heartbeat!
The midwife found it straight away, and it seemed really strong - (like I’m the expert on Unborn babies heartbeats!). So have been sitting here with a very silly grin on my face.
Now just got to wait until the 20 week scan which is at the end of the month - very exciting.
(Ross and I didn’t want to call the Baby “the Bump”, “It”, or “the Baby”, so we gave him a name - Baby Davey. And so it get’s even more confusing, we don’t know if he’s a boy or a girl, and in fact probably won’t find out until he makes his arrival into the world. So although we refer to him as a boy - the truth is we don’t know…)
I have to go back into the office tomorrow, and joy of joy, apparently there’s a problem with the air con unit in our server room, so all the servers are overheating so the IT team in their wisdom have decided to open all the doors and windows they possibly can. Ridiculous. My manager has instructed me to wrap up warm tomorrow, and sent a begging email to the MD to ask for some heaters.
So here’s to keeping warm!
