I went to see the midwife for a checkup yesterday. All is well, Baby Davey is growing at the right rate, and I heard his heartbeat again. It was strong and regular, which is always good news! I’ve got to go back in 4 weeks to have some more blood taken. Hopefully they won’t have to take the two armfuls they did last time!

We went to the hospital on Friday for another scan to see if Baby Davey would let us see his heart. This time, he was lying in the prefect position, and even gave us a wave, as if to say “Well, I’ve made you wait, so, go on then, you can take my picture now.” Certainly living up to his name as Wavey Baby Davey!
So, the news is that his heart is working exactly as it should be and has all the 4 chambers and 2 blood vessels. He’s also growing well, in fact his tummy has grown nearly 4cm in circumference since the previous scan two and a half weeks ago.
As you can imagine we are both very relieved with this news.
We made sure that the sonographer knew we didn’t want to know the sex, so as that was our last chance to find out, we’ll have to wait for Baby Davey’s arrival.
We’ve at last started to buy some baby clothes, and other baby related paraphernalia. It’s amazing to think that the tiny newborn clothes we’ve bought will actually be too big to start with and how much paraphernalia is on offer! Its quite difficult to remain pragmatic when you are being bombarded from all ends and sides about how you must have the latest gadget or gizmo. We’ll manage though.

Julia had her 20 week scan today, all is well however it turns out baby davy is a little camera shy!
So no new photos - we did get to see a skeletor impression of baby davy - but its too scary to post!
As baby davy wouldn’t move for the sonographer, we have to go back for another scan in a few weeks so they can see the heart.
Hopefully we will get more photos then - it all depends on baby davy..
